Newborn Wedding Dress Photos in St. Louis MO
My new favorite thing, newborn wedding dress photos! What is the best thing a Mom can say to me when I walk in the door for her daughter’s newborn session? “I’ve pulled out my wedding dress, can we use it for some of the pictures?” In one word, YES!
Once she laid out the wedding dress for me, it took a few minutes for me to decide the best way to use the dress. Often it can be challenging to incorporate props with a newborn. They are so tiny and can easily get lost in the clothing or props added to the frame. I wanted to keep it simple, but also use the embellishments of the dress, so Mom would easily recognize her dress in the photos. I decided to use the lower half of the dress, with the beading and stitching at the hem. The corset would have been too uncomfortable for the baby to sleep on.
We added a headband, and white lace pants that I had brought with me to the session. Mom and I are both thrilled with the results from the wedding dress photos! If you would like more information on my newborn sessions, click here!
